Every day, Grafton County Senior Citizens Council meets the needs of elderly members of the community who live independently but require a few services to remain on their own and out of nursing homes.

The council is a private, nonprofit agency. Year in and year out, it must raise at least $600,000 from private sources in order to continue to provide nutritional, transportation, social service, and other programs to nearly one out of every two community members over the age of 60: 6,601 individuals in 2001.

We provide our services with kindness, compassion and care for the individual. We don't put a price tag on kindness, but we must put a price tag on the costs of our many wonderful programs that keep elderly friends and neighbors in their own homes and communities.

Please consider an annual gift to Grafton County Senior Citizens Council, Inc.

$250 will provide hot, home delivered meals to two homebound older neighbors for an entire month.

$160 will provide a full week of adult day care and lunch for an older person who is in need of constant supervision.

$60 will provide social work services to help four older people resolve problems which threaten their independence.

$34 will provide round-trip transportation to a senior center dining room and hot, tasty meals for two non-driving older people.
