Communities: Haverhill, North Haverhill, Woodsville, Pike, Monroe, Piermont, Bath and Benton. The Horse Meadow Senior Center opened in 2000 to serve older members of communities throughout the Haverhill area. The center was designed to provide a wide range of programs in an attractive and welcoming setting. The local Advisory Council worked for years to bring all of its services under one roof and to expand its programs to meet the needs of the area. This was made possible by Community Development Block Grant funds as well as contributions from more than 200 individuals and businesses within the community. The Horse Meadow Senior Center includes a library, exercise equipment, shuffleboard, a piano and an organ, and space for other activities and continuing education programs.
