Communities: Orford, Lyme Orford Area Senior Services holds special activities almost every week, in conjunction with its congregate meal. The meal is held in the Congregational Church's dining room in downtown Orford, and all are welcome to enjoy the food, companionship and activities. The program distributes a monthly newsletter and also publicizes its meals and special events in the local newspaper. GCSCC is now offering transportation on the Upper Valley Senior Center lift-equipped mini-bus to Orford and Lyme residents every Friday. Catch a ride from your home to shop, go to a medical appointment, or dine at the Lebanon-based center, then return home in the afternoon! Call the Upper Valley Senior Center at 603-448-4213 to reserve a spot on the bus. This is a pilot program funded through a special grant from the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
