Supporting Aging in Community
The heart of GCSCC’s support comes from the loyal donors to our Annual Fund drive. Twice each year, we ask supporters and new friends to help us meet our service goals. Especially important as state funding reductions relentlessly reduce our ability to serve our neighbors, every gift large and small, supports older citizens in their efforts to remain connected and contributing to their communities. Your donation validates the daily dedication of GCSCC staff and volunteers and is most appreciated.
A gift in memory of a loved one, a dear friend or a respected colleague is a tangible and meaningful personal appreciation for the impact that person had on your life. Memorial gifts form a substantial portion of GCSCC’s support: many are directed at supporting specific projects or general efforts at one of our eight county locations, while others are given to benefit the whole of GCSCC. In every case, we notify the primary surviving family member of all gifts received in memory of a departed loved one.
Gifts Given in Honor
A fine way to thank someone who has brought you joy or provided assistance; a way to recognize a dear one’s birthday, wedding or other happy occasion; an honor gift may be given to GCSCC, to an individual location, or even to a specific need such as “kitchen needs” or “meals on wheels.” Honor someone special with a thoughtful gift that serves two purposes – reflecting your respect for the named individual, and assisting those less fortunate.
