GCSCC is pleased to announce nominees to the Board of Directors.


Nominated for a first three-year term (2026-2029):

 

Daniel Kiefer, Littleton, served in the military for more than 30 years, most recently as Judge Advocate in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. His civilian career was also with the Air Force as an attorney specializing in environmental law. Dan received his J.D. from S.J. Ǫuinney College of Law at the University of Utah. Since his retirement in 2017, Dan has lived in Littleton, where he has been an active volunteer for GCSCC and is a member of the board of directors of the Littleton Community Center.


Emily Sands, Meriden, is President and a managing partner of Loudon Investment Management, LLC in West Lebanon, NH. She has nearly 30 years of experience in banking and financial management. Emily is a graduate of Dartmouth College, earned Master’s degrees from Boston University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). An active member of the community, Emily has volunteered for several nonprofit organizations including GCSCC, Hanover Hockey Association, Plainfield Public Libraries, and Twin Valley Hockey.


Carlos Valentim, Lebanon, is Head of Internal Audit at Hypertherm Associates in Hanover. He is a CPA with more than 30 years of experience in operations, internal audit, finance, and management for Fortune 500 and technology companies within the United States and Brazil. He earned bachelor's degrees from Universidade Paulista in Sao Paolo and an executive MBA from the University of Central Florida. Carlos volunteers his time in support of local organizations, including GCSCC.

By-Laws amendment:

Upon request of the Governance Committee, the Board of Directors recommends that Article VI, Section 8, of the By-Laws of the Grafton County Senior Citizens Council, Inc. be amended to add the sentence that is highlighted below in bold font:


Section 8: Vacancies on the Board shall be filled until the following Annual Meeting by appointment by the Board on the recommendations of the Governance Committee. The Board has vacancies any time there are fewer than 18 Board members.
